My favorite nighttime treatment:  RARE MINERALS

This product is absolutely fabulous!  I had my doubts when I first bought it but it really works...and I have sensitive and acne prone skin.  Who knew that a powder, worn at night, could help clear and brighten your skin.  It gave my skin that extra umph it needed to clear and brighten up.  Plus, my face felt a lot smoother.  Now that the weather is getting hotter, it helps my oily T-zone issue and got rid of my eczema.  I now have the skin that I've been wishing for.  My face has not been this clear for years.  The downside is that it is a bit pricey.  It's $60.  But, a little goes a long way.  I bought mine at Sephora.  They have a great return policy.

Product Review to Watch For: Skin Actives Pumpkin Enzyme Peel

Skin Actives Pumpkin Enzyme Peel
I can't wait to try this product.  I wear makeup, have eczema & sensitive skin and an oily t-zone to boot.  Having all these elements, I'm concerned about clogged pores and overall unrefined skin.  I need a facial peel that will exfoliate dead skin cells as well as impurities that does not belong there without aggravating my sensitive skin.  I'll let you know how well Skin Actives' Pumpkin Enzyme Peel addresses these concerns.

Update:
I was not particularly impressed with Skin Active's Pumpkin Enzyme Peel.  I might have to use it a few more times to see any results but it felt like any regular peel.

If you're looking for a pumpkin peel I recommend NCN Professional Skin Care Pumpkin Peel.  It smelled so yummy and looked and felt like mashed up pumpkin.  Plus, I felt it working.  I haven't used it much though because I've been using Rare Minerals.  I'll start incorporating this in my regimen once a week.

Price:
1 oz: $25 or 4 oz: $85

I would like to thank NCN Professional Skin Care for adding a sample of the pumpkin peel in my order.

Product Review: Bamboo Lemongrass Foaming Body Scrub by Lather

Vox Lather scrub 089

My favorite body scrub by far is the Bamboo Lemongrass Foaming Body Scrub by Lather.  Unlike many body scrubs, this one is a foaming scrub and doesn't leave you greasy or sticky.  It's actually formulated with bamboo, sea algae extracts, herbal extracts and almond proteins that leave your skin truly soft and smooth....feeling very luxurious!  I like using it at night.  I wake up in the morning with oh so silky skin.  My husband can't keep his hands off me.  For those who've ever tried this body scrub, you know what I'm talking about.

I purchased this at their Pasadena store in Cali.  The rep asked me to try it out.  He actually volunteered to scrub my hands for me (maybe he didn't think I was scrubbing enough).  After drying, I thought "ooooh, my hands feels really nice."

The bigger jar (8 oz.) in the picture costs $38.  I turn off the shower while I'm applying it so a little goes a long way and rinse off with cooler water.

Vox Phlorogine 087
Vox Phlorogine 087

About 3-4 months ago I stopped taking my YAZ (birth control pill) because I keep hearing that any birth control pill in general is bad for your body and it's unnatural to regulate your cycle like that anyways.  Boy, was I sorry I did that.  My chin broke out in painful, cystic craters....non-stop.  It was like boom...boom...boom...I would get one, if not two, everyday.  I went into panic mode.  I went to skinstore.com to look for kits for adult acne.  The kit never came.  I found out 3 painful weeks later that my order was never going to arrive because they no longer carry it.  The worst part was they never contacted me to let me know.  The only reason I found out was when I actually called them to ask for my order's status.  Totally annoyed, I went to look for other products that work well for adult acne, that is oil free, but sensitive enough for my skin....I also have eczema....I know, double whammy.  Well, I found it!  It's called Phlorogine Treatment Set Kit II.  This stuff totally saved my skin.  The active ingredient is an algae extract, called Phlorogine which was proven to give a complete solution to the most direct causes of oily skin disorder which was what broke me oout since my hormones went haywire.  I've tried Proactive, Murad, AcneFree, and prescription medication from the past but nothing worked as well as the Phlorogine Treatment Systems.  The other products would either alleviate some of my acne but my skin would form scabs around my eyes and/or top of cheeks, I would experience really unwanted side effects, or it wouldn't work at all and the consistency sucks to boot.  The Phlorogine Treatment System doesn't contain oil or alcohol that would irritate my skin and it cleared it up.  I totally recommend this product for those who have acne and have sensitive skin, especially eczema suffers like me.  My favorites are the phloro plus and the fruit acids gel (I use the gel at night).  The moisturizer kept my skin hydrated without it feeling tacky and the gel smooths everything out.  I wake up with smooth and refreshed skin in the morning with nothing to worry about.  It's so liberating not having to worry about your skin.  We have enough to worry about don't you think?

The system can be purchased at beautynaturally.com or better yet at healingifts.com. I purchased mine at healingifts.com because they offer a discounted price (10% off) and they carry the Phlorogine Treatment Set Kit II that includes all 5 products.  This kit includes: purifying cleanser, clarifying toner, phloro plus (what you use as moisturizer), fruit acids gel, and jojoba beads scrub for the discount price of $64.80 (other stores price it at $72).  I also checked out their customer service and actually spoke to Michael, as the company posted on their website and not some random customer service person.  He was very nice, polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and above all honest.  They have great rates for shipping and I received my order promptly with everything in tact.

My chin hasn't broken out since it cleared.  Now, I have to look into weekly peels that would even out my skin tone and scarring.  I hope this info will be of great help to someone.
